The European Dog Show 2026 and Swedish Winner Show 2026 will bring together judges from across the globe in Stockholm. Many are renowned breed specialists with extensive knowledge and experience of their respective breeds, while others are highly respected all-round judges who have spent decades judging at international level.

A Best in Show judge with a true passion for dogs

When the finalists enter the Best in Show ring at the European Dog Show 2026, Annika Ulltveit-Moe will have the honour of selecting the Best in Show winner. With 46 years of judging experience, including 25 years as an all-round judge, she has judged dogs in 56 countries around the world. Despite her impressive international career, her passion for dogs remains refreshingly down to earth:

"I appreciate a breed specialty in the forests of Värmland just as much as a Royal Show in Australia."

Speaking about her appointment as Best in Show judge, she says:

"I accepted this assignment with open arms. I feel both honoured and delighted."

What does a Best in Show judge look for?

For Annika, everything starts with a dog that conforms to the breed standard, has a sound temperament, and is presented in excellent condition. But when only the very best remain in the final lineup, something more is often required.

"All Best in Show finalists will be truly world-class dogs, but in the end, there is always that little extra quality that makes me choose the winner."

Bo Skalin also takes centre stage in the BIS

Bo Skalin is one of the Nordic region's most accomplished judges and breeders. His involvement with Schnauzers began in 1977, and throughout the decades he has bred numerous winners. Since becoming a conformation judge in 1995, he has progressed to all-round judge status and is now qualified to judge all breeds.
Bo has officiated on every continent, including at both the European Dog Show and the World Dog Show. With his extensive expertise and broad international experience, we are delighted to welcome him as Best in Show judge at the Swedish Winner Show 2026.

With decades of experience as both breeder and judge around the world, Bo will lead the final judging with a keen eye for quality, breed type, and overall excellence.
