Travel here without your own car

Getting to Stockholmsmässan without a car is simple – here you’ll find the best options for a smooth and hassle-free journey.

As the European Dog Show attracts many visitors, parking spaces at the venue may fill up quickly. To make your experience as easy as possible, we encourage you to plan your journey in advance. We strongly recommend travelling by public transport, using park-and-ride (commuter parking), or taking a taxi.

Take the commuter train to Älvsjö

If you have the possibility to travel without a car – for example if you’re staying nearby or travelling light – the commuter train is the easiest and fastest option.

  • The train from Stockholm Central takes only about 10 minutes
  • Älvsjö station is located right next to the venue
  • It’s quick, convenient, and gets you straight to the entrance without any hassle.

Park-and-ride options (commuter parking)

Driving part of the way? Combine your car journey with public transport by using one of the many park-and-ride facilities along the commuter train network.

  • Many parking spaces are free or low-cost
  • All commuter trains stop at Älvsjö station, with departures about every 15 minutes
    Example:
    Park-and-ride at Handen station
The park-and-ride facility is located on levels 1 and 2 in the parking garage at Rudsjöterrassen 11.
On weekends and on weekdays between 3:00 PM and 4:00 AM, parking rate B applies at Handen station, with no requirement for an active SL ticket.

    Park-and-ride at Vega station
On weekends and on weekdays between 3:00 PM and 4:00 AM, parking rate C applies at Vega station, with no requirement for an active SL ticket.

    Park-and-ride at Västerhaninge station
On weekends and on weekdays between 3:00 PM and 4:00 AM, parking is free of charge at Västerhaninge station.

This is a smart and stress-free way to avoid congestion and limited parking at the venue.
