Meet Our Dog Welfare Crew

At the European Dog Show and Swedish Winner Show, dog welfare is always at the heart of everything we do. That is why our Dog Welfare Crew will be present throughout the entire weekend, helping to create a safe, secure, and dog-friendly environment for all participants.

We are committed to always putting the dogs' best interests first, in every situation.

Dogs always come first

The European Dog Show and Swedish Winner Show are about world-class dogs, community, and memorable experiences. Above all, however, they are about the well-being of the dogs. Throughout the show weekend, our Dog Welfare Crew will be present both indoors and outdoors across the exhibition grounds. They will be available to answer questions, provide support, and identify anything that may affect the welfare of the dogs.

The Dog Welfare Crew works to help ensure that all dogs are comfortable and well cared for during the show days. For example, they may:

identify dogs that appear unwell or in distress
provide information and guidance on dog welfare
raise awareness of risks associated with hot weather

We want both dogs and people to have a positive experience throughout the weekend. Our Dog Welfare Crew members wear red vests and are always ready to assist you and your dog.

Take responsibility for your dog

As a dog owner and exhibitor, you are always responsible for ensuring that your dog is cared for safely and responsibly.

Please remember to:

never leave a dog in a hot vehicle
keep your dog under supervision at all times
present and show your dog in a way that respects its health and well-being
only participate with healthy dogs

By taking responsibility together, we help create a safe, enjoyable, and dog-friendly show for everyone.

A fair show for everyone

Dog welfare is also about fair conditions. The national anti-doping regulations apply throughout the shows, and it is the responsibility of every dog owner to be familiar with the rules regarding medication, treatments, and withdrawal periods.

If you are unsure whether a treatment or medication may affect your dog's eligibility to participate, we recommend checking this well in advance of the show.
