Welcome to European Dog Show in Stockholm!
The countdown has begun! With nearly 16,000 entries from 64 countries, Stockholm is preparing to welcome the global dog community for three unforgettable days of competition, friendship and celebration. Here, Swedish Kennel Club Chairman Thommy Sundell shares his welcome message to all participants and visitors.
It is with great pleasure that the Swedish Kennel Club welcomes you all to Stockholm for the European Dog Show 2026. We extend a particularly warm welcome to dogs, owners, judges, stewards, volunteers and all other dog enthusiasts who have gathered to take part in this wonderful celebration of dogs.
The European Dog Show will be the largest canine event held in Sweden since the World Dog Show in 2008. With nearly 16,000 entries and dogs representing 64 countries, three exciting days of engagement, fellowship and shared passion for dogs await us.
Under one roof at the exhibition centre Stockholmsmässan, the European Dog Show and the Swedish Winner Show will be held in parallel over three intensive and exciting days. In addition, around 40 breed club shows will take place in and around Stockholm, further strengthening the spirit of togetherness that makes our dog community so special.
The event will provide excellent opportunities to meet both old and new friends, exchange experiences, share knowledge and inspire one another. Regardless of where we come from or the role we play within the dog world, we are united by a common interest and a shared passion.
The dog is at the heart of everything we do.
Our work and activities are driven by a commitment to the dog and its welfare. Alongside our passion comes responsibility. We must all strive to meet the expectations our dogs place upon us by showing care, respect and a genuine commitment to their well-being. At the same time, we share a responsibility to strengthen and maintain society’s trust in our work and in the important role that dogs play in our lives.
The Swedish Kennel Club looks forward to creating three memorable days together, filled with friendship, learning, inspiration and enjoyment.
