Time for a final travel check

The European Dog Show and Swedish Winner Show 2026 are almost here. Before you travel, it is important to make sure your dog meets all requirements for entry into Sweden, has the necessary vaccinations, and has any certificates or treatments required for the journey home.

Take a few minutes today to ensure everything is in place before your Swedish dog show adventure begins.

Do a final check before you travel

We will soon welcome dogs and exhibitors from around the world to Stockholm. To make your trip as smooth as possible, we recommend reviewing the regulations that apply to your dog well in advance.

Requirements may vary depending on your country, both for entering Sweden and for returning home after the show.

Need certificates or TRACES certificate?

Some dogs require specific veterinary certificates in order to travel home after the event.

Check if you need:

  • A TRACES certificate
  • Official veterinary certificates
  • National certificates required by your home country

it is important to plan ahead. In some cases, the process can take several weeks. Please also note that certain certificates must be issued by an official veterinarian.

Don’t forget deworming treatment

If your dog will be travelling to, or through, countries such as Finland, Norway, Ireland, Malta, or the United Kingdom, treatment against the fox tapeworm may be required before the return journey.

We offer deworming treatment at Stockholmsmässan during the show weekend, but advance booking is required.

Remember to:

  • Register in advance
  • Bring the correct medication
  • Check the requirements for your home country

Please make sure that:

  • Your dog has a valid vaccination against canine distemper
